For renting tenants

A better-run building, and one thing only you can do.

You can't join the RTM Company, the law counts leaseholders, but you live with the results of estate management every day. Under RTM, residents choose the managing agent that answers your repair requests, which gives that agent a reason to be responsive.

Why it matters to you

Responsive management is a tenant issue.

When the lift is out, the heating fails or a repair drags on, the speed of the response depends on who the managing agent answers to. Today that is the freeholder. Under Right to Manage it is a leadership team of residents, neighbours who live in the building and experience the same services you do. Nothing about your tenancy agreement changes; the accountability behind it does.

The campaign needs owners of half of all flats to join, and many of those owners are landlords who are hard to reach. That is where you come in.

The one ask

Forward this site to your landlord tonight.

It is the single most useful thing anyone renting at Embassy Gardens can do. Copy the message below, or send it straight from your phone.

Hi, I rent a flat at Embassy Gardens. Leaseholders here are organising to use the Right to Manage, a no-fault legal right that puts the building's management and service charges under owner control. Joining is free, takes two minutes and needs owners of half the flats, everything is at embassygardens-rtm.com.

Writing an email or a message to your landlord or letting agent? Attach the landlord one-pager above, it puts the whole case on a single page. No landlord contact details? Send it to your letting agent instead, they manage the relationship and can pass it on.
